CMS & HHSC to host Webinars on Tuesday, July 9th

Two webinars are scheduled for July 9, 2013 to assist Regional Healthcare Partnerships (RHPs) with Transformation Waiver implementation.  The target audience for the webinars is RHP anchoring entities and all Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) performing providers.

 

Learning Collaborative Webinar presentation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

CMS is requiring that all 20 RHPs submit a learning collaborative plan by October 1, 2013.  In this webinar, CMS will explain its vision for how learning collaboratives will be incorporated into the Texas DSRIP program.

Quantifiable Patient Impact (QPI) Webinar presentation by HHSC staff

HHSC has requested that all DSRIP providers verify or submit additional information for each project related to the quantifiable patient impact of the project and specifically its impact on the Medicaid/indigent populations.  This information will be used later this summer as CMS reviews proposed project valuation for demonstration years 4 and 5.  In the webinar, HHSC will explain how providers should fill out the spreadsheets to document this information.

·        Purpose will be to review the spreadsheet and instructions and to answer questions.  Please be sure all providers have received their spreadsheets and have had ample opportunity to review them PRIOR to the webinar.

Region 12 submits Phase 1 projects for pre-review

Region 12 had 18 projects that met criteria for Phase 1 project revisions. These projects are categorized as follows:

  • 8 - Initially approved with adjustment to project value
  • 8 - Not approved at this time
  • 2 - Overlapping CAT 1/2 milestones with CAT 3 outcome

On June 13th, Region 12 submitted all 18 Phase 1 projects to HHSC & CMS for pre-review. HHSC/CMS's goal is to have all pre-review projects reviewed within 7 days but some may take longer. Once we recieve HHSC/CMS comments we, RHP12, will have 7 days to revise and resubmit.

Region 12's CMS Initial Review Received

Below is a link to CMS’s initial review findings for Regional Health Partnership (RHP) Plan 12, which was submitted as part of the Texas’s Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Pool, authorized under the state’s 1115 demonstration.

CMS commends RHP 12 for it's efforts and looks forward to working collaboratively with us to resolve the outstanding issues identified.

HHSC Publishes Summary of ALL proposed DSRIP Projects

HHSC is providing the attached information in response to stakeholder requests for a summary of the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) projects proposed under the Transformation Waiver.  Please note this list is preliminary, based on the full Regional Healthcare Partnership plans submitted by December 31, 2012.  The information is subject to change as the plans and projects undergo state and federal review.
