May 23rd – Update on RHP Planning Summit

The Summit that was tentatively scheduled for June 28th – 29th has been postponed. HHSC stated that it will probably take place in August now instead of June. No further details at this time.

May 22nd – RHP Planning Summit

June Summit: HHSC currently is finalizing the details—including dates, times, and location—of the RHP Planning Summit tentatively scheduled for June. Once those details are confirmed, registration will open for a limited number of individuals. Because space at the conference will be limited, HHSC will send invitations in waves and those receiving an invitation will have up to one week to accept before additional invitations will be sent. Each Regional Healthcare Partnership (RHP) will have a certain number of in-person slots for the summit, so that the anchor along with key IGT entities and performing providers will be able to attend to receive information about how to complete and submit the RHP plan. HHSC will broadcast the conference online so that individuals not able to attend in-person can watch presentations, hear discussions, and submit questions through an online chat function.

May 21st – Program Funding and Mechanics (PFM) Protocol

Program Funding and Mechanics (PFM) Protocol: Earlier this week, HHSC released the draft PFM Protocol, the State’s working document for Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) requirements. The draft protocol is based on HHSC’s developing approach and is subject to change based on feedback from Texas stakeholders, HHSC leadership and CMS. CMS must approve the protocol before Texas regions can move forward with DSRIP projects. HHSC is seeking public feedback on the draft PFM Protocol by Thursday, May 31, 2012.

May 11th – HHSC Releases New RHP Map

On May 11, 2012, HHSC released a new Preliminary RHP map and named University Medical Center as the anchor for RHP 12. Our request to merge regions 12 & 16 are not reflected on this map. HHSC should have a finalized RHP map by the end of May.
